If you’ve never done a boudoir session before, it’s completely natural to feel a mix of excitement and nerves. You might be questioning your decision or asking yourself; How does it work? Do I need to learn how to pose? Do we have to get naked? Will the images be kept private? (Be sure to read our section about privacy.)
We totally understand and empathize! The first time we did a boudoir shoot ourselves as a couple, we were still public school teachers who had no idea how it ‘worked’, and were deathly afraid of our images ever being seen by our administrators, or worse yet, our students!!!
Years later, that experience has helped us to craft an entire experience that is uplifting, enjoyable, and stress-free. Whether you’re commemorating a special milestone, seeking a confidence boost, or simply doing something empowering for yourself, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
And by the way - no, you don’t need to learn how to pose; we’ve got you covered!
A Friendly and Supportive Atmosphere
From your very first interaction with us, our priority is making you feel at ease. We understand that stepping in front of the camera for a boudoir shoot can feel intimidating at first, which is why we focus on creating a safe, welcoming environment. We are dedicated to ensuring you feel supported, inspired, and comfortable throughout your journey. The process of becoming comfortable with us as your photographers starts with our initial consultation via video chat. We discuss your vision for your session and try to gain insight on your style, preferences, and reasons for doing the shoot. Are you looking for something sultry, playful, glamorous, naughty, or elegant? You are in control and we are there to help guide you the entire way, from our very first chat until the very last click of the camera.
Simple Preparation
Getting ready for your session doesn’t need to be complicated. We’ll provide you with helpful advice on wardrobe choices, styling tips, and how to prepare overall. But the key is to show up as yourself—embracing what makes you uniquely beautiful. We help you prepare in choosing the right outfits, brainstorming ideas, sharing ways to mentally prepare yourself for your shoot, as well as the get-to-know-you questionnaire that will give us insight into your goals for our shoot together. When possible, we meet up in person before your session and chit chat over a coffee or drink as our priority is to have you feeling super comfortable and confident the moment you walk in for your shoot.

The Day of the Shoot
When the day arrives, it’s all about you. No modeling experience? No problem. We welcome you in with your favorite adult cocktail and light snacks to enjoy while helping take care of those butterflies. We lay out all of your outfit choices and accessories and collaborate on choosing the perfect ones. You’ll get pampered and dolled up by our professional stylists (if you choose the option) while sipping on your drink. The day-of process, including the behind the scenes, gets documented on video as you also have the option to have a cinematic highlights video created of your boudoir experience.
We gently guide you through each pose, helping you feel comfortable and empowered from the start. Mindy always likes to keep it light by asking Lou to demonstrate one or two poses along the way. Let’s just say that he’s not very flexible lol. It’s all part of creating a calm, joyful environment where you can truly enjoy the moment. Whether your vision is soft and understated or bold and dramatic, we tailor the shoot to reflect your personality and preferences. Every moment is about making you feel seen, celebrated, and stunning!

We demonstrate poses and help adjust your body positioning to highlight your best features. You don’t need any experience; we make sure you look natural and confident! We utilize lighting and angles to create flattering, artistic images and snap way more photos than is necessary as we just really enjoy what we do and won’t be able to help ourselves.

After your session, you’ll receive a collection of stunning images that are much more than photographs—they’re a reflection of your strength, beauty, and individuality. You’ll receive a link to your private online image gallery where you’ll get to enjoy them at your leisure and comfort. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us, so every boudoir online gallery is password protected and not searchable.
